The Learning Tree
Early Childhood Learning and Care Center a ministry of St. Paul United Methodist Church Hours of Operation Monday*Wednesday*Friday 9:00-2:00 Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-2:00 (PEP)
Early years are known to be the foundation of life. The Learning Tree accepts the responsibility for offering a creative, sustaining Christian environment where children are given an opportunity to develop according to their individual possibilities. We offer three different programs to achieve this goal.
The Learning Tree, our preschool and kindergarten, is concerned with your child's total growth and development. We are a high quality preschool program that realizes that young children are active learners who need to learn through a variety of hands-on activities. This is planned for and carried out in the following skill areas: social and emotional, physical, oral language and literacy, mathematics and science, creative arts, and social studies and technology. We provide support to the family and aim to enhance and expand the parents' relationship with their child through the sharing of experiences and interests in our school program.
PEP School is in addition to your child's school experience. It is intended to extend and compliment their school experience. It is created exclusively to further stimulate your child's mind and body. The theme for 2009-2010 school year is Learning Adventures with the emphasis in the following: Art, Theater Arts, Science, Math , Spanish, Reading and Phonics, the World and Active Adventures.
Kids Day Out offers play in a safe, relaxed Christian atmosphere where your child can interact with children his or her own age. Through quality play activities, your child will gather valuable information and develop important skills that will support later academic and social success. In addition, it offers parents an opportunity to have a "day out" as well.
Pre-registration, which is open to members of St. Paul and existing Learnning Tree families begins in February. Open Registration begins in March. Class sizes are limited. Vacancies will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
