Lots going on this month! NO UMYF on Easter Sunday! We will be going to the Rockin Worship Road Show in Tulsa on Saturday, April 17. We will leave around Noon. You need to let me know ASAP if you are going so I can reserve you a spot! We will also be going to the tour of churches in Tulsa on Sunday the 18th. We would love to have anyone go, parents included! I also need to know ASAP on a head count for this event. Girls... you will need to wear long loose skirts or loose pants and bring a scarf to cover your head in the Mosque. This is one of their customs, and even visitors are asked to adorn themselves in this manner. Saturday, April 24th we will be having the wrap up similation for Underground Reality. I will need adult volunteers to be the "Interrigators". The students will be split as the free church and the underground church. We will be in Honor Heights park this day and will need LOTS of adults on hand! Please let me know if you are able to participate. We will meet at 10am and play til noon. We can all go eat lunch afterward if everyone wishes.... so bring some money! :) |

The above is the hotel we will be staying in. Please feel free to call my cell if you have any questions. We will be leaving at 12:30, Monday and returning between 11:00 pm and midnight on Tuesday.
Reminder: If you plan on going with us on Thursday to see Alice in Wonderland on the IMAX, you have to call in your reservation to the church office or me by noon on Wednesday. I will be getting tickets online so that we are assured the time we want. We will be going to the 2pm show on Thursday. We are leaving the church at 12:15 and returning around 5pm. |

Ok here's the lowdown on Spring Break....
We will leave at a TBA time and head to Dallas. We will spend the night and get up the next morning and spend the day at Six Flags. We will leave the park between 7 and 8 and head back home. The cost will be $50 per person and that will cover: Six Flags ticket, meal voucher for lunch in the park, Hotel, gas. You will need additional funds for dinner Monday night, possibly breakfast if the hotel doesn't provide breakfast, and dinner Tuesday night. If you wish to play games or buy drinks/snacks/souveniers in the park, you will need money for that also. Last time I was at Six Flags, for $10 you can get a drink that has free refills so you can stay hydrated all day.
On Wed or Thursday depending, we will be helping out people who have chores around their house that they are not physically capable of doing. I am running an article in the newsletter this week, so I will let you know once I hear from people. On either Thurs or Fri, we will be heading to Tulsa to go see "Alice in Wonderland" on IMAX. I will keep you posted. |

Wed night bible study is going on. We just began "Underground Reality Vietnam" about a group of teen and their journey of faith through Communist Vietnam!
MISSION TRIP for High School will be the week of June 7th. We will leave on Sunday. The approximate cost per person is $500. We are working on fundraising so we can get the cost down to $150 per person. Your deposit of $75 is due on March 1 to hold your spot. Do not let cost stop you! Please contact me and we will check into scholarships! This mission trip is for 9th - 12th grade. We will be planning another trip for Junior High! :)
Our first fundraiser is selling "Stock" in the mission. This will be in the Atrium between Early worship and Sunday school, Between FUEL and Sunday school, Between Sunday School and the 11 o'clock service and after the 11:00 service! We need as many hands as can help so if you are available, come by the tables and help sell Stock! We will have a dinner in August for our stockholders and show them and tell them all about our trip!
THe Youth Garage Sale will be March 27th. Setup will be Friday the 26th after school. We need hands for this too!!! Please let me know when you are available that weekend and I will get a schedule drawn up.
April 18th we are going to a tour of:

We will leave the church around 11:30. There is a Children's Lunch Fundraiser that day beginning at 11. Bring money for lunch and we will will eat at the luncheon and then head to Tulsa. There will NOT be regular youth that night. When we get back, we will head home. We should arrive at the church no later than 6:15. Please be there to pick up your kiddo if they don't drive :)
